mom&dad's india tripThe pictures from my Mom and Dad's trip to India are up.
It was their first trip to Sri Hemkunt Sahib and an experience they will never forget.
They went in October 2005 and also visited Poland while they were at it.

his name: MOHKAM Singh!
He was in an incubator when we saw him b/c he was 6 1/2 weeks early. Both mother and son are doing well now. Today his tubes were taken out of his mouth but he is still being monitored by nurses - they say he will be coming home in about 2-4 weeks.

Mother is red. Red like strawberries from the farm and a clown’s nose and roses. Red like new shoes and scarves and Bart Simpson’s t-shirt. Red like mother is.
Mother is yellow. Yellow like the sun in summer and bananas and bright new highlighters. Yellow like a raincoat and sour store lemons. Yellow like mother is.
Mother is green. Green like grass over mountain hills and flower stems and grasshopper legs. Green like tall trees and clover leaves and Asian tea. Green like mother is.
Mother is white. White like marshmallows and cotton balls and whiteout for the silly mistakes I made. White like swans and face towels and snow softly falling on a cold winter’s day. White like mother is.

happy SAHIB day to all!A year ago today, my nephew was born...such a beautiful child I have never seen. His name is Sahib Singh and his parents are Sundeep and Jaspreet. Sundeep is my Masi Ji's (aunt) daughter and since I was born, she has taken care of me selflessly. For that I am forever greatful. When their first child was born at around 10 am in the morning, Jaspreet and Sundeep were exausted from all the hardwork...I say cheers to you for producing such a smart, cute, wonderful baby like Sahib. He will grow up to be a great man who will fulfill all your dreams! Sahib Singh: whatever you may choose to be- a musician, giani, martial artist, scientist, pro soccer/football/hockey player, doctor, councillor, teacher, politician, journalist, psychologist-or all of these things, I know you will go far...you have a special twinkle in your eye like no one else I know....always remember that you can count on me for anything-I believe in you!
